VASELINE 'HEALTHY EVEN SKIN TONE'

              

I had been looking for a product to achieve even skin tone. As far as i could recall there were not many lotions or potions claiming to achieve even skin tone unless bleaching was involved. Since i was googling i came across this Nivea Lotion. Read up on it and decided to give it a shot. Its not like there was much competition for this product anyways.

The product claims ' New Vaseline healthy even tone goes beyond just moisturization ; it also helps to actively restore your skins natural even tone and provides with a triple protection from UV lights.' Living in the middle east where temperatures can easily soar to 52 degrees Celsius during the summer , triple sunscreens are a welcome ingredient if not a must.

The lotion is light and not greasy. Upon application it is easily absorbed into the skin and does not leave any residue. I initially used this product consistently for a couple of weeks and now have become iregular. I did see dark areas around my knees and the back of my calves clearing up. It may not be the most amazing result but it does show results. Maybe if i use it more consistently i will achieve better results.

I am quite happy with this product especially because it is lighter and non greasy in comparison to some other Vaseline lotions. A product like this is welcome especially for kids when they are out playing in the summers.

A little about Vitamin B3 which this product claims is one of the main ingredients. Niacin 'Also called niacinamide, vitamin B3 is one of several topical vitamins that has been studied in order to identify its potential benefit to the skin. A lot of ingredients have disappointed dermatologists due to low efficacy in treating various skin problems. However,  vitamin B3 has undergone clinical testing and established itself as being useful when applied topically. 

Because topical application of niacinamide can help preserve levels of NADH and NADPH, it contributes to the support of the skin’s barrier against pollutants and other irritants. As a result, many skin conditions, such as acne, the redness associated with rosacea, and other inflammatory signs can be actively managed. Also, vitamin B3 has shown to be useful for encouraging the production of natural emollients that can help the skin remain hydrated.' Source So, Basically a lot of good stuff going on :) It may not be high in strength, but something is better than nothing till you find something more effective.
